Flying Site Rules & Regulations
1. All fliers must be current AMA members.
2. The current AMA safety code must be adhered to at all times.
3. All equipment and procedures must conform to AMA and FCC regulations.
4. Flying instructions are available at no charge for beginning fliers. Flying by inexperienced pilots is unsafe, dangerous and therefore prohibited.
5. All takeoffs are to be in an easterly or westerly direction and the initial turn must be away from the flight line.
6. One observer is required for the flight line. The observer shall supervise the flying
to avoid having models fly in the proximity of full-scale aircraft. When a full-
scale aircraft is sighted making a takeoff or landing approach at the neighboring
airport, the observer is to order the R/C pilot to land and wait for the traffic to
clear.
7. All pilots must have the proper frequency tag displayed.
8. Whenever three or more pilots are flying at the field, the transmitter impound stand must be put into use.
9. If others are waiting, use of a given frequency for testing and/or flying will be limited to a maximum of 15 minutes.
10. All flying is to be within the field boundaries. No flying over the neighboring property. Retrieval of downed aircraft from neighboring property is permitted only with the property owner's permission.
11. The field boundaries are defined on the field diagram posted on the frequency board.
12. No maneuver, except takeoff and landing will be performed at an altitude of less than 100 feet over the runway area of the field, without first notifying the other pilots on the flight line.
13. Each flier is responsible for any damage he or she causes.
14. Effective silencers are required for all engines over 0.1 cu. In. displacement.
15. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are allowed on the field.
16. Absolutely no flying is permitted behind the flight line or other restricted areas.
17. Absolutely no takeoffs are to be made from the behind the flight line.
18. At no time shall a returning aircraft taxi any closer than 25 ft. from the pit area.
19. Planes, transmitters and all other equipment must be kept in a neat and orderly fashion behind the flight line.
20. Park vehicles only in designed areas.
21. Spectators are not permitted in the pits or on the flying field.
22. All children must be accompanied by and under the supervision of an adult at all times.
23. All trash must be placed in the appropriate receptacles. Trash control is the responsibility of each member. If it doesn't grow there, pick it up because it's trash.
24. All pets must be on a leash and under control at all times.
25. Visiting fliers must observe all field rules.
26. All spectators are to stay in designated areas.
